This chapter explains organizational culture which refers to the combination of shared meanings, beliefs, assumptions, understanding, norms, values, and knowledge between the members of an organization. More specifically, it explores definitions, historical evolution of the notion of culture in organization theory and highlight the contributions of seminal authors including (but not limited to) Edgar Schein and Geert Hofstede.
